Last night my samurize config for weather was working fine. This morning I have errors in the weather2004 area of my config. All the weather items work in my config EXCEPT the forecast data; which displays "ERROR: Bad or missing query param..."

I'm thinking weather.com has rolled out some changes...

I hope this is still being maintained. And thanks to the author for sharing this.

I got this a couple of days ago. Even if I tried to update my profile on the website, my Weather plugin doesn't work.

"We are contacting you because you are a registrant for the weather.com XML Data Feed (the “Service”). I also got the same email. After I updated my profile, I got an email with the Partner ID and License Key. The email showed another change to the request URL:

Also, the example in the email shows how the &link=xoap paramter must be used along with a real PartnerID and License Key

After I made these changes to my script, it returned an actual result, but the xml layout is a little different, creating problems for the config.

Is there a specific PartnerID and License Key for Samurize users? Or does everybody have to register individually?

If it turns out that the Weather2004 plugin will never work again, you may want to consider using PageScraper instead. I've done a quick test and it appears to work ok. In fact, if a webpage exposes data to everyone, and doesn't use any weird obfuscation techniques, then PageScraper will most likely be able to handle it.

But, hopefully, torsius will be around to fix his plugin (if it's possible to fix). Someone may want to send him a message asking for help.

i can still access current infos (the kind of informations i can also get by looking at the window), but no way to access forecast... i just receive a short xml... Bad or missing query param.


If it's just some change in query and the format of the xml data returned, it should not be too hard to fix...

hope Torsius is still around and has time to fix that

I'll send Torsius a note, I see him on my IM all the time... hang tight folks.... and Uziq brings up a good point... page scraper may be the best way to go for now and it should be future proof....

Uhmmm this sucks! It not only doesn't work anymore but it completely crashes my dock everytime I try to load it. Baaad weather.com!!

Same here, not working any more since May 5. Plus the config keep crashing all the time. HELP !!!

I feel your pain guys, I've been using weather 2004 for a LONG time, and now all I get are my local and custom radar images Hopefully this will be fixed soon or there will be a 'good' alternative way. I miss my weather!

PageScraper can link and show weather icons same as Weather2004 ? If so can you link me to a guide how to use it please ?
