hi ppl.
trying to apply the shutodown button to my desktop. do u know if there is a way to reduce shutdown time and a way to modify the alert window which notifies the shutdown time etc? tnx. |

SHUTDOWN.exe -s -t 01
-s = shutdown -t xx = timeout for shutdown (default is 20 seconds) Google for shutdown syntax |

If you are using the shutdown.exe then you can use the -t option which allows you to pass in an amount of time for the shutdown to occur.

still not complete.shutdown.exe -c:"Add your Description here" gives you the ability to write a Comment into the Shutdown Countdown Window popping up with shutdown.exe -------------------- ![]() USER MIGRATED TO SAMURIZE.US |

you don't need an Exe for that. Somewhere in the Forums here is a Shell-command for scriptwise opening Method for the default Shutdown Dialouge.
