The reason I request this is because I am using the Slideshow plugin to display a random image from my photo album. Currently the images just switch at the specified interval, and each time a new image appears I cringe a little at how sharp the image switching is.
It seems Samurize is very close to being able to do this with the current fade in / fade out functionality when starting and stopping Samurize. If there were an option to fade between the previous and current values it would solve not only this problem, but provide a simple mechanism for many other cool uses. What do you think? |

Would probably need to be an option that uziq would need to include in his ImageCycler plugin, I don't think AdamC is working on Slideshow.dll any longer and I seriously doubt that it could be a Samurize feature.

Is uziq still actively working on plugins?
It seems development of Samurize itself has been slowing down as well. EDIT: Wow, I just took a look at Uziq'a plugin's, they are great. When finding it on the site, I just glazed over it because the package was so large. Now if we can only get fade! This post has been edited by mjs7231 on Oct 25 2007, 06:18 PM |

Unfortunately the development of Samurize has slowed down because of a lack of time and work commitments with the crew.

ImageCycler is not a visual plugin, so it cannot do fading. Even if it could, it would rely on the refresh rate of the config (requiring a fast refresh for a smooth fade).

Perhaps this is something I can look into a little deeper myself. Is there source to an example Visual Plugin written in .Net (with a configuration window) that tool around with to get a little acquainted with writing plugins for Samurize?

Samurize does not have native support for using .NET plugins.
But, I've made a converter (ConvertPlugin) that comes with an example. The problem is that a converted .NET plugin may leak memory. http://www.samurize.com/modules/mydownload...cid=13&lid=1866 There's also .Net Plugin Host, which I never really used: http://www.samurize.com/modules/mydownload...cid=14&lid=1258 |
