Can you introduce temperature monitoring to Samurize.

In programmes like "everest ultimate" and "speedfan" they are able to access and display this info.

Could this be added into samurize, so there would be no need to have an external app running all the time?

Vote now on whether you would like to see this lol.

Those Programms install custom Handlers so they can fetch the Data, AdamC and the Rest of the Gang don't know how they could get the Information in any other way than fetching it from those Programm's Interfaces.
You can try to capture it from WMI, but it's not advised as the Windows Management Instrumentation eats Performance for Breakfast.

I'l not pretend i know what your talking about but cant a "custom Handler" be integrated into Samurize. Then in the config editor it would be as simple as "Add Meter" then "Add Temperature". That would be great.

With WMI i would if i could but i use Vista and thats not an option along with loads of plugins not working correctly, performance counters taking ages to get working properly etc etc smiles-banghead.gif

Custom Handlers are a Piece of Driver or other Software that work on Hardwarelevel. Most are copyrighted and crypted, so reverse Engineering is not an Option, licensing even less. And I somehow doubt that AdamC or any other Dev is capable of developing such a Handler.

That's the Reason you either need MBM or the other available Tools running when you want to display your Temperatures in Samurize.

Ah i see. Well that sucks. I like the bare minimum when my pc boots and to have an extra programme running just to display temperatures isnt an option i like.

On a completly different topic is samurize going to be updated soon as its been about 2 years since the last update and i like many users now use vista. Loads of the plugins now dont function correctly and im sure im not the only one who would like to see animation similar to what the "config region" plugin does built into samurize and all configs to have a right click menu built into them. I'd especially like the right click menu built in as it just makes any config feel more complete like they do in avedesk etc.

Dont mean to hassle you as i know everyone's busy with there own stuff smil3dbd4d4e4c4f2.gif

Doubt so since AdamC is currently the only 100% Dev who's allowed to work on the Source - and is obviously bound elsewhere.
Some People including me requested to release it as OpenSource under GNU, but he has to contact the original Developer who isn't responding as far as I know.

Yeah i'd like to see more people working on it but it shouldnt be made available to everyone. AdamC should just pick a few people and between them work on it. I use a gamecube emulator on my pc and the forums there are packed with "which revision number are you using and from where". I'd hate to see Samurize be like that.

Face it, Open Source is like Genetics: Everyone and their Mom can contribute.

There's an app for Linux called conky, it's even more flexible than samurize.

Who cares?
This is a Windows only App, Conky is Linux only I assume.
Linux is not Windows nor vice versa, so your Information is superflous.
