I'm looking to make a large (read: huge) spectrum analyser that is integrated into my desktop and, so far, I haven't been able to find any sort of plug-in for WinAmp, foobar or whatever so it looks like I'm going to have to do it myself...

Anyway, since I have no idea how to create visualisations, Samurize is my best bet of success.
However, I've hit a couple of early snags...

Firstly I don't seem to be able to set the plug-in to display more than 99 bars.
Is it possible to increase that number to, say, the 4-500 mark?

Also, is there any way of supporting stereo analysis?
In it's current form, it looks as though SpectrumVis only supports a single channel of analysis but to be able to do what I'm hoping, I'd need to be able to display both the left and right channels.

It's mostly foobar that I use, in case that makes any difference.

Ok, a couple of further questions.

Firstly, what's the difference between the SpectrumBand and SpectrumBand_reverse functions?
I had a look through the MultimediaReadme text file and it didn't mention it.

Secondly, how are the frequency ranges for each spectrum band determined?
I only ask because I've set about designing a config using all 99 and I'm noticing that in the lower-end of the range, you get groups of two, three, four or more bars that constantly display similar values and it's only at the upper end of the range that they seem to vary a bit.

Thirdly, I think I know but I'll ask anyway - the fact that Samurize is now using about 15% of my CPU, that's down to the 99 spectrum bands, isn't it?
