Is there any media player that can export a paused movie into a stillframe .jpg or .png or anything? Because every time I take a screenshot and paste into Adobe it's just black, I think it might have to do with the directX encoding, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, a screenshot from a movie doesn't work. Don't know exactly what is the technical cause. There's a capture frame option in some players for example in BS Player.

I found one in VLC player right after I posted this? Thanks for your help though.

This was the outcome. From the movie Pi. You should see it

EDIT: Try not to link large images in posts, annoying to say the least.

The reason you get a black screen when trying to "printscreen" movies is that usually the movie is rendered "directly to the screen" instead of through Windows, for better performance. That's also why it can seem like the movie screen "lags" behind if you show it in windowed mode and drag the window around.

And, erh, I haven't seen that movie. Maybe I will. A movie about math! Woohoo! smil3dbd4d4e4c4f2.gif

Amazing! Maybe I should learn a few more digits too. I only memorized the first 5 decimals. Learn a digit a day! Nah, probably not. smil3dbd4ddd6835f.gif

Try to learn the decimals of e (=2.718...) instead. smil3dbd4d6422f04.gif It's pretty much as useless as remembering the decimals of pi, but it would be easier to impress people because they don't necessarily even know the first digit.
