I like the layout overall, but I would suggest replicating the gradient bar used in the right monitor on the left to give some unifying support for the elements in the upper-left. The interface tutorial section has a bit on sculpting curved segments that might come in handy since a whole vertical bar wouldn't work.

Completely off topic, Blind Guardian rocks!

I would suggest to use different types of meters for the HDD's or find some way to keep it clear, which info is for which drive. It looks very confusing as it is now. And the Hotmail and MSN thingies are just... hovering there. Not attached to anything. And that's kind of sad, 'cause it makes it look like they where just thrown in there, without much thought to it...
