Description
I used the hard drive display I made for my first design, and cleaned it up a bit. Then I threw it into a big piece of metal filled with readouts for system stats, Winamp song currently playing, plus Desktop Weather XML, SimpleCalendar and SimpleEvents.  I'm in no mood for subtlety or simplicity.

What it still needs is an alternative to the standard icons.  I need fast access to a few things, so they're crammed off to the side for now until I find some utility that will let me do something with them. Suggestions?

Edit: Made a few cosmetic adjustments and re-uploaded.

Well, fill me in. Enlighten me as to how it "could have been alot better." Better yet, post a link to your Starcraft background so I can learn from your amazing technique. Empty criticism is pointless.

Bad taste? I've been accused of worse, and by better people.

Very nice idea and very good job you made.
Two questions: how many configs are running?
How is the name of this wallpaper?

It's all one config, believe it or not. I'm in no mood to muck around with multiple configs, and you can see this doesn't use up much in the way of resources. The wallpaper doesn't have a name yet - I made it along with the config, and I have a few different versions of it.

Just one config and only 8% processor-usage? ... wow!
But how it's possible?
Can you send to me the parts of your wallpaper? ... Just for try?

It could be my processor (Athlon 2500), but I think it's just Samurize being a lean machine (most likely it's some of both.)

I uploaded a 107k jpg of the wallpaper to http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/177002/wallpapermedium.jpg

I made the wallpaper design based around my hard drive partitions. C and G are each about 10% of my drive, E and F are each about 20%, and D is about 40%. So that's how much of the blue ring each meter takes up. So it probably wouldn't work as smoothly for anyone else. You're welcome to try, though, and I'm working on an idea that would let more people use it without having empty or awkwardly-sized and named meters, if anyone is interested.
