Download Now! Audio Mixer Display Plugin  Popular
Version: 1.1
Submitted Date: 2004/2/4
Submitter: lc31415
Description:
This is an update of the Volume Display plugin. It now includes a function to check for the mute status of the soundcard in addition to the volume, so I renamed it to something a little more descriptive.

I plan on adding the ability to check on other audio mixer settings, like equalizer settings, balance, fader, etc.

Suggestions are welcome.

1 small request:
Would be nice to have it output "mute" string instead of that "1", or better yet, have both options.
Or third option that would be extra nice, would be to output a path strings "path/to/what/ever/mute_on.png" and "path/to/what/ever/mute_off.png"

Yea, actually I thought about this but didn't know what to return with the mute function since function returns have to be strings.

I kind of imagined that people would just change the meter draw type in the meter properties to something like a progress bar or pie graph. Then they could just change the range of the graph so that it was 0 to 1. Then the mute function would produce either a circle or bar when the speakers are muted, and nothing when they are unmuted. That is why I return a number from the getmute function.

It would be easy to implement what you describe, though, so I'll go ahead and add the ability to choose your own return strings when I have a little free time.

Master volume is great but what about wave-output? That is just as important.
