Update 1.5 for June 3, 2007

Updated all plugins to the newest versions
Added a new iPhone gadget (iPod and lock functionality only due to font size constraints)
Added a new Longhorn Clocks gadget
Added various functionality to gadgets (Comedy Central, RSS, Calendar, Slideshow)
Updated the Halo 3 Countdown to September 25, 2007.
Added a Sidebar Hover Option (it's a nice little touch)
Various graphical fixes

Kudos for the most comprehensive package I've seen. Allow me a simple suggestion tho - there is a "Weather.2004.ini" file in the plugins directory that holds some default values for the plugin. That way you don't need to specify eg. the locationID in everymeter, but leave that param of function blank and the plugin will use the one specified in the ini file. Much easier to configure the weather configs to other persons likings.

Excellent work. I was looking for a Vista style Sidebar and I found this link. Though there are some other sidebars as well but I find Samurize as the best. I am sure Samurize is not only about Sidebar, there are many features as well, which I will try to learn later.

Being a noob in Samurize I need to know about the problems regarding the Sidebar :

a) When I click play in the Media player plugin nothing happens. I have to click the "-" icon and from there the bigger player emerges. Then I click to load WMP, only then it is working. But if I close WMP main then plugin stops working. I am using WMP 9. Is this how it has been designed or I am missing something?

b) Is there any way to get RSS feed from other sources like the BBC. Presently it is only showing NYT.

c) Weather units are not coming in metric. I have changed the settings in weather2004 config file. I checked in the weather.com site also. Though the default is English, the metric link is working fine in Weather.com. Please advise.

Again I must say this is a great work. Many many thanks for letting everyone use this.

Sorry this took so long to get back to you.

--The media player plugin is designed to work only when Windows Media player is open. It can't serve as it's own 'application.'

--There is a way to get the RSS feed from another source, but you would need to either scrape the page yourself with the pagescraper, or if you ask nicely, I'm sure I could whip you up something if you so choose =).

--The units will not show metric because they must be set using the configuration tool (config.exe). You need to edit each weather meter to display metric units. (Unfortunately I only accounted for users changing the default location--I did not allow for the unit of measurement to be changed through the weather2004.ini).

hi,

great config. However im having problems with the images. In the config editor they have a transparent background but on my desktop they are large black boxes.

please help its driving me mad

Wow great plugin !

I had some troubles with the mail plugin and a gmail account, however when i mixed it with the gmail plugin it worked fine

Still, i'm having another issue, about the weather plugin.
First of all it was a bit tricky to find my ID, i'm living in Brittany, France ! But even now i can't get the highest temperature of day one. The lowest displays fine though..

Am I the only one ?

hey !
nice job man, a realy awsome package !
I just noticed an issue with the modern clock
(the red one) which uses 8% of my cpu charge and
something like 14Mo of my Ram...
The other "gadgets" are working very properly,
thanks a lot !!! :->>>
