Retrieves News from Shareactor.

This is a script that was requested, and I happend to have. It was made by Sami, and will recieve no support from me.

Australian news script. Grabs data from the ABC Australia News Just In website and display it in a ticker type fashion.

Headlines are clickable.

You first have to create a write-File-Script

This script is designed to retrieve the latest software releases from Fileforum.

Additional features include retrieving the "File Of The Week" and the weekly top software, top 3, top 5 and top 10.

Installation:
Simply unzip the DeMo-Fileforum.vbs file to your Samurize\Scripts folder.

Configuration:
Open up DeMo-Fileforum.vbs in notepad and look at the CONFIGURATION section. Set the variables as follows:

FILEFORUM_ADDR: This is Fileforum's URL, you don't need to change it!

SHOW_RELEASE_DATE: Sets if the date the software was released should be shown. Eg: "Samurize 0.93 (Today - 10:15 pm)". 0 (zero) means disabled.. 1 (one) means enabled.

TOTAL_RELEASES: Sets how many releases you want to retrieve. Important: MAXIMUM number is 30!!

SHOW_TOP_POSITION: This sets if the software position in the Top 3, Top 5 and Top 10 should be shown or not. Eg: "1- Samurize 0.93". 0 (zero) means disabled, 1 (one) means enabled.

Usage:
All you have to do is add an ActiveScript to your config and select DeMo-Fileforum.vbs in the script selection box. Then select the desired function in the function box as follows:

GetReleases: This will retrieve the latest software releases from Fileforum's main page.

GetFileOfTheWeek: This returns the software chosen as File Of The Week.

GetTop1: This retrieves the first software in Fileforum's weekly top10 list.

GetTop3: Same as above but will return the first 3 softwares from the top10 list.

GetTop5: I think you already know what this one does!

Use either the GetNews function to display the news directly, or read it from the fileplanet.tmp file created by the GetNewsTempFile function.

Grabs the headlines from the swedish news site DN.se

This script retrieves Football scores from www.livescores.com.

New in version 1.1 Use "All" (without the quotes) in LeagueName parameter to get all leagues from a page. PageName can also be blank in which case it will default to the LiveScore home page. There is a limit of 200 lines, but that should fill up just about anybody's screen. There is also a limit of 30 leagues, so if the page your're looking at has more than 30 leagues it will not get them all.

There are just two functions. Writefile takes a parameter, PageName. GetLeague takes parameter LeagueName. To get your parameters go to www.livescore.com and select a country for instance England. Your will have an address in your browser like this: http://www.livescore.com/default.dll?page=england. The value after the = sign will go in parameter PageName. Then copy the full league name including the hyphen and paste into parameter LeagueName. You might have to reload the config a couple times. I found setting update interval to 1 minute to be best.

This looks best with a fixed pitch font like Courier New so the columns line up.
