this is a nice graphical compass config that uses torsius' excelent weather.2004 pugin for wind direction. I made it b/c i thought that a plain circle was, well, a little boring.

Looks fairly decent a higher resolutions (ie 1280x1024), much lower res & it's a little big.. but it can scale down some.

use if u like. just copy-n-paste into your config.


* Update * thanks to KMDonlon's sugestion, I've updated this to use ImageAnalog.DLL . Looks Muuuuch nicer! Anyhoo, here is the updated version.

* Update2 * I just noticed that I set the start angle WRONG in the ImageAnalog.DLL configuration. It shouldbe set to 90. this should make the needle point in the correct direction.

I made this to help out some users with weather data. I included the latest version of Uziq's Pagescraper.dll in the .zip file. The beauty of this config is there is nothing to add, no images to download, no skins, etc. It is all self contained!

This config simply shows the current condition image for the location choosen, all the detailed info is provided in the tooltip when you mouse over the image. To change to your location, open the config in the editor and replace my location (USNC0559) with yours in the adress bar.

Written because none of the other available weather scripts used weather web sites that provided reasonable information for Canadian cities and towns. I think I now have most of the bugs out, so I figured there must be other Canadian Samurize users who might like a better weather tool.

Although the web site provides information on many other U.S. and worldwide cities, the selection of available data varies widely and the script may or may not provide worthwhile data. This is also true for many of the smaller Canadian locations which may not contain a full set of data. Best method is to view the location in a Browser first to see what is available, then try selecting it with the script and crossing your fingers.


This is an update to version 2.0 to adjust for changes made at the weather site which
affected the formatting HTML code for the weather page. This change has made extraction
of the data for the forecast periods very difficult. As a result, I have altered the
script to utilize the web pages formatted for PDA online usage as these helped overcome
the difficulties in scanning the HTML text.


Bug Fixes:

* Correction for altered web page formatting. The external symptom of this was the
loss of the Hi/Low forecast temperatures for the coming weather periods.

Enhancements / Changes:

* The full narrative weather forecast for the coming 5 periods is now provided as
data line 60 within the WeatherCan.txt file. The text in this file will be word
wrapped (using Samurize %b line breaks) based on your setting of the WRAPFORECASTLONG
setting.

Current Samurize configs should require no updates when switching to this new version.

A couple small changes in customizing the Script for your weather location is all that
should be noticable between this release and the previous.

This plugin will get lots of weather, for anywhere in the world - courtesy of weather.com's xml data feed.

It has lots of features that have taken quite a while (to say the least) to put together.

Take a look at the screenshot for a glimpse of what can be done.

Find your Swedish city code on http://www.weather.com/ and paste it in the scriptfile. You're ready! (read the readme file for details.) Furthermore, if there's interest I can easily add forecasts for more days than the next two.

NOTE: To use the XML feed legally, you must sign up for it! These are Weather.com's demands and not mine...
But IT'S FREE and takes only a minute, so why not do it so Weather.com stays happy!

A weather script for Samurize that grabs the XML content from weather.com and parses out the content to display in a Samurize client. It is very similar to DesktopWeather v0.41.

Watch out for new images from the Samurize Weather PNG Contest.
