AMIP Winamp Tutorial (outdated)NOTE: AMIP is no longer required to display extended Winamp information. You can use the inbuilt Samurize Winamp meter or the AMPI plugin by Tropics (included with Samurize).Ever wanted more than just the currently playing song displayed in Samurize? You can, by using the AMIP plugin for Winamp. This plugin is available here: http://amip.tools-for.net/ Install the plugin as directed, and then configure it in Winamp (select Preferences -> Plugins -> General Purpose -> Advanced mIRC Integration Plug-In, then click the "Configure" button). Check the Mail Integration checkbox, and fill in the fields as desired. Here is a sample AMIP setup, that writes the name of the track and the album name to C:\Program Files\Samurize0.8\np.tmp: ![]() To display other information like the bitrate, year, author etc. look at the variables in the top-left of the window, or click the Help button. Here is how to display this information in Samurize, using a TextFile meter that reads the first line of our AMIP file (C:\Program Files\Samurize0.8\np.tmp): ![]() Tutorial images by scelt. | ||
