When adding a perfmon on Windows Vista, no perfmons are listed?
Requested and Answered by AdamC on 04-Apr-2007 10:25 (4463 reads)
The reason for this is because Samurize is a normally authorised problem and so by default is unable to read the perfmons. To solve this issue you need to add any userid that will access perfmons to the group "Performance Logs User".

This can be done using the Computer management in Control Panel->Administrative Tools.

The userid will need to logoff/login to get these new privileges. Then the config editor and clients should be able to access the perfmons.

[B]Vista Home Premium and below[b]
The GUI interface is not available from Vista Home and below so you need to use a command prompt, with the following command:

NET LOCALGROUP "Performance Monitor Users" username /ADD
